Welcome to Paper Plane
Hello and welcome to our first post here at paper plane!
We are a group of 7 Bristol based artists and makers who design and make our own products.
A little while ago we got together with the idea to start a co-operative shop. It would be a venue to sell and promote our work, whilst also engaging with the local creative community and reaching out further afield to find other exciting artists.
The idea grew and we made a few enquiries into possible spaces.....until we found no. 196 Gloucester Road! A light and airy little space on a bussling stretch of road with lovely cafes and independant shops, it was perfect.
Since then it's been all hands on deck with sanding, painting, going up and down ladders, doing the coffee run (most important job!), and all sorts. We've got logos to design, shop fittings to build and marketing to be done. All in a days work when you run your own business!
We'll keep you updated with news on how its all going, and to introduce you to ourselves and our work.
Opening night is the 24th April so not long to go!
